COMMENTARY
Many Celtic fans despaired when they found out that Brendan Rodgers had omitted attacker Vakoun Issouf Bayo from the squad for Sunday’s Scottish Cup clash with St Johnstone. It seems that lots of Hoops fans were at least expecting the forward to make the bench for the clash, and were left questioning where the player was at after the Hoops’ official Twitter account revealed the team. Bayo is yet to make his first appearance for Celtic after joining the club in January from Dunajska Streda and it seems supporters are eager to see the 22-year-old in action. It’s no surprise that Hoops fans are keen to witness their new forward and evaluate his ability, but it seems they’re going to have to be patience. Rodgers has fielded a strong side to take on St Johnstone and probably doesn’t think Bayo is ready to make an impact against them. The 22-year-old hasn’t played a lot of football as of late so probably isn’t 100% so it’s makes sense that Bayo is missing this fixture.
