COMMENTARY
It is fair to say that any Wolverhampton Wanderers fans who might have been feeling a little tired on Tuesday night might well have fallen asleep entirely during their first half against Huddersfield. It was by no means a classic 45 minutes of football and quite honestly the Molineux faithful would have been scratching their heads wondering if they were watching the same group of players that have been at the club all season. There was no urgency among Nuno Espirito Santo’s men and they let the Terriers run all over them at times. Compared to the exciting football that the fans have become accustomed to this season, this was a million miles away and you can understand why they were left so frustrated on Twitter. Huddersfield are sitting bottom of the table and look destined for the drop – yet the players just did not look motivated and that in itself is a serious worry. It is all well and good lifting your game against the big boys but you have got to be at the top of your game week in, week out to succeed in the Premier League – and Wolves just were not at the races in the first 45 minutes.
