COMMENTARY
It is fair to say that Newcastle United’s Isaac Hayden has got under the skin of the fanbase at Wolverhampton Wanderers with his tongue-in-cheek comments. He questioned how the Molineux outfit had managed to find themselves in seventh in the Premier League table after their 1-1 draw and the supporters of Nuno Espirito Santo’s side came back to question how Hayden was a professional footballer. To be honest, the comments from the Newcastle man were either said to invoke a reaction or simply naive, for Wolves have been one of the best sides to play in the top flight this season. Their attacking threat coupled with a defensive resoluteness makes them tough opposition and they are where they are in the table on merit, not luck. Thankfully Hayden and Newcastle do not have to play Wolves again, for you can just imagine the sort of response he would receive both on and off the pitch were he to visit Molineux in the next couple of months.

I'd got no idea how he has played 72 times for Newcastle and never seems to do anything at all

But we are not struggling to see why Newcastle are at the wrong end of the league, poor team, poor owners, delusional fans.
