Tottenham reportedly want to sell Moussa Sissoko in the summer – and he would be a perfect signing for West Ham.

The 29-year-old France international has been in stellar form for Spurs this season, but according to Calcio Mercato, the North London club is looking to offload the midfielder at the next available opportunity so that they can snap up other targets.

Inter Milan are said to be in the hunt for Sissoko’s signature, but West Ham should also join in the race because the ex-Newcastle man would be a blinder of a signing by Manuel Pellegrini in the summer.

The Hammers midfield does have Declan Rice, but overall, Pellegrini’s central options are limited.

Mark Noble only seems to perform to his best in the occasional game, Jack Wilshere is constantly injured, Carlos Sanchez will inevitably go down as a flop and Pedro Obiang seems like he might be on his way soon enough with constant speculation about his future in London.

Rice is obviously the future for the Hammers, but Sissoko is already the finished article and a central midfield partnership between the pair would be the stuff that dreams are made of for the Irons faithful.

The Frenchman has been transformed by Mauricio Pochettino into one of the most in-form midfielders in the Premier League.

He is a proper all-rounder who contributes in defence and attack, passes the ball well, is strong in the tackle and is just an overall pain to deal with for opposing players.

It is a shock that Spurs are reportedly planning to sell a player who has been so key for them this term by appearing 28 times across all competitions, but it still could be a costly buy for the Hammers.

According to statistics website Spotrac, Sissoko earns £80,000-a-week on his deal at Tottenham.

He signed a five-year deal when he joined the North London club for £30million from Newcastle in 2016, but he will be into the last 24 months of that agreement come the end of the season.

If it is true that Spurs want rid of the midfielder then surely this is a doable deal for West Ham and Pellegrini has to put the wheels in motion as soon as possible to sign up the French powerhouse.
