OPINION
How on earth did West Ham manage to sign Felipe Anderson? There were some doubts about whether the Brazilian could settle into the Premier League after a couple of sub-par performances at the start of the season, but he has been a class act since and was easily one of the best players on the pitch in West Ham’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool at the London Stadium on Monday night. Understandably, many Hammers were were blown away by the ex-Lazio ace’s display in the Premier League fixture. He assisted Michail Antonio’s goal in the first-half with a perfectly weighted pass from a free kick and he went from strength to strength from there on, having a major impact on the way the Irons played when they were on the ball. Is Anderson the best player outside the Premier League’s top-six? He’s certainly a contender for that title, but let’s see how he can get on for the rest of the season. He could be a West Ham star for years to come if no one comes in to poach him.
