OPINION
West Bromwich Albion midfielder Jake Livermore certainly did not produce his finest performance in his team’s 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night and the fans were fuming with what they. His passing was wayward time and again and he failed to exert any real influence on the game. He was the captain on the night and needed to come up with a better showing than what he ultimately supplied at the Hawthorns. He is an experienced player, an England international no less, but yet his form has been poor this season. He is playing in the Championship when we all know he’s a Premier League quality player – he should be tearing the second tier up. Instead, he’s regularly been putting in the sort of turgid performances we saw against Forest. For someone who is supposed to be pretty good on the ball, he sure gave it away a lot. Maybe it’s complacency, because of what he’s achieved in his career prior to this, but as one Baggies fan attests: he is very much living off past glories at the moment.

You wouldn’t think Livermore was a professional footballer the way he’s played

I can’t be the only one to think Livermore is the most useless passer of the ball in this team… he’s terrible #WBAFC #WBANOT

It’s not just passing out from the back. Some of Livermore’s passes tonight are what I’d describe as “hospital passes”. Look up calm down and play it simple and play percentages! #wba
