OPINION
It seems that a section of Tottenham fans will never be happy with who is playing at right-back, with Serge Aurier failing to impress them in the opening 45 minutes against Burnley on Saturday afternoon. Kieran Trippier has had a poor season for Spurs and Aurier has hardly been any better than the England international. It is understandable to see some Tottenham fans destroying the Ivory Coast international at half-time at Turf Moor. He hasn’t looked all that convincing when having to defend and when getting forward, Burnley have been able to deal with him quite easily. Sean Dyche’s men were expected to sit back and make things hard for Spurs, and although they have been a lot more open than they usually are, they have done well to contain Spurs’ attacking players. Aurier is yet to have any luck down the right wing and maybe he will improve in the second-half once Burnley start to tire a bit more.
