OPINION
Eric Dier has not had a lot of luck this season. The key Tottenham midfielder has not been injured, but just seems to be picking up every single illness in the book, with Spurs confirming on Tuesday that the 25-year-old is now suffering with tonsillitis. Dier will miss the clash against Chelsea on Wednesday night, which is a major blow for Tottenham, who will miss the physicality of the England international in what is bound to be a very important game. Some Spurs fans are understandably concerned about Dier, but not because he is going to miss the Chelsea game, but because of how ill he has been lately. He has played in just four of the last 13 matches across all competitions due to appendicitis and now tonsillitis. One Spurs fans has even claimed he’s the new Darren Anderton because of the amount of time he is spending on the sidelines. Hopefully Dier can make a speedy recovery, but it could take him a while to return to full fitness because tonsillitis can really drain you.
