OPINION
West Bromwich Albion man, and Swansea City loanee, Jefferson Montero opened the scoring for Darren Moore’s side in their 3-2 win over Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday night. The news must have come as a shock for Swans fans considering the winger has done next to nothing for the Welsh side for a long period of time. He was able to make an impact for his new team, though, rifling past Joe Lumley in fine fashion. We all know Montero has talent, that’s been evident for a long time, but he hasn’t been able to harness it at the Liberty Stadium for a couple of years. His performance for West Brom on Tuesday, while not perfect, suggests that he could rediscover his old form at the Hawthorns. That will likely infuriate the Swansea fans after years of sub-standard play for their team. The fact that he started Tuesday’s game seemed to surprise them, let alone the fact that he scored.

Montero scores inside 5 mins? Don’t know what’s more surprising he scored or he started.
