Rangers fans slam Worrall

COMMENTARY

Rangers secured an emphatic 5-0 win against Hamilton on Sunday, but many supporters still found a reason to complain. It seems despite their side being very comfortable throughout their latest victory, many Gers supporters felt they needed to rip Joe Worrall apart for his display. One referred to the centre-back as a donkey, while another claimed he look like he didn’t understand football. However bar one clumsy and reckless mistake, Worrall submitted an acceptable display. However then again his mistake could been enough to completely change the game around and see Steven Gerrard’s side play on the back foot. Worrall seemed to get away with a rather nasty foul that should have arguably seen him issued a red card and Hamilton awarded a penalty in the second-half. Yet the referee didn’t have that view and play continued. Given how it did look like a pretty bad challenge if the referee didn’t penalise the player because he didn’t see it, there may be retrospective action on the way.
