Many will no doubt rule Rangers out of the title race this season, but when you have a talent like Ross McCrorie in your team, that should not be the case.

The 20-year-old has not been a regular in the Scottish Premiership this season with 12 appearances to his name, but he has been magnificent for the Gers lately and deserves all of the plaudits that come his way.

He is surely undroppable for boss Steven Gerrard from now on, especially if the club are still within a slight shout for the title – the impact he makes is undeniable and he would be mad to axe him at this stage of the campaign.

Steven Davis may be on the bench, but that should not matter to the manager in the slightest based on the form of the youngster recently.

McCrorie offers the energy and creativity that Davis perhaps does not have, and at the moment, he is the far better option for the Rangers midfield.

Many Gers fans are no doubt drooling over the prospect that McCrorie could still improve over the course of the season considering the level that he is at already.

The likes of Andy Halliday should also be worried about his place in the starting XI due to the recent emergence of the young ace, as it is clear that he is a star in the making at Ibrox.

Other clubs will no doubt come sniffing if he continues to progress at his current rate and this is something that Gerrard will certainly have to be wary of in the summer, as they cannot afford to lose a player of his talent so early on in his career.

Gerrard is no doubt ecstatic that the young dazzler has gone on leaps and bounds recently, and he has certainly proved that he is undroppable after a series of jaw-dropping displays.
