COMMENTARY
January might have been all about the arrival of Jermain Defoe and Steven Davis at Rangers but the last minute capture of Glen Kamara, who had penned a pre-contract agreement to head to Ibrox, gave the Gers faithful something else to celebrate. The fans have had to wait to see him in action but they finally got to see what he was about in the clash against St Johnstone on Saturday afternoon, Scott Arfield and Ryan Jack both rested by Steven Gerrard. Thankfully for the manager the former Dundee man impressed in his first minutes at Ibrox, the supporters heralding him as one of the best players out on the pitch. A bright start at a new club boosts a player’s confidence no end and so to have impressed the home fans against the Saints will do him the world of good. It remains to be seen whether he can compete with Jack and Arfield upon their return to the side but his performance of Saturday suggests he can quite comfortably take a place in the starting XI should Gerrard wish.
This is Futbol has gathered a selection of the supporters’ tweets:
We look disjointed so far. Stray passes, no chemistry. 35 minutes. Kamara looks good.

Kamara has been brilliant today

Oh this is brutal viewing for the most part. Kamara aside our midfield has been posted missing.

Kamara having a good debut. Rangers on top but haven’t really created any clear cut chances.
