OPINION
Not many Rangers fans would have heard of Nathan Young-Coombes before he joined the club on a permanent basis from Chelsea on Friday, but it seems that some supporters are already excited about the young prospect – and who can blame them? Rangers are excelling in their bid to develop more and more youth players. Glenn Middleton was signed from Norwich this time last year and didn’t take long to get into the first team while there are other promising youngsters at Ibrox like Andy Dallas, Zak Rudden and Dapo Mebude. Young-Coombes will clearly be targetting to follow in their footsteps and start to knock on the door of the first team, but he is only 16-years-old and has some way to go before that is considered. Rangers’ youth academy has done a great job lately though and to sign an England youth international from Chelsea just goes to show how well thought of the set-up is at Ibrox.
