OPINION
It took him a little while to get going, but what a signing Raul Jimenez has turned out to be for Wolves. The Mexican was on target again against Everton to help restore his side’s lead, and he continues to out in the kind of performances that are making him look like the most lethal striker outside of the top six. Aside from his goalscoring heroics, the 27-year-old has mightily impressive in his all-round play this campaign, and makes a regular habit of holding up play and bringing his teammates into the game. With him at the centre of the action, and with the vast array of attacking talent Wolves have at their disposal flitting around him, it’s easy to see how Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have been able to establish themselves as a real force in the Premier League already. The big question now will be whether or not Wolves feel they can justify meeting the Mexican’s hefty please clause to make his move from Benfica a permanent one, but on the basis of what he has shown so far dubgin his time in England, they’d be mad not to. A good striker is hard to find, and Wolves have found a cracker.
