What a promising talent young Sean Longstaff has become at Newcastle United and he showed why the Toon Army love him with another convincing performance in the middle of the Molineux pitch against Wolves. Whether it was attacking or defending, the promising midfielder showed his ability to do both, breaking up the home side’s attacks time and again before remaining composed in possession. His passing range is hugely impressive both along the ground and through the air and with plenty of years left to develop he is one of the most exciting prospects to come through the Newcastle youth system in recent years. Considering he is only playing in the first team due to injuries suffered by more experienced and established stars, he has made a huge impact on the St James’ Park faithful. Whilt the supporters will be hoping his rise continues, when Mohamed Diame, Jonjo Shelvey and Seung-yung Ki are back, can Rafael Benitez really keep the youngster in the side? On this first half performance, absolutely.
