Many West Ham fans all had the same answer the club’s official Twitter account after it asked them to fill in the blank, regarding who was their player of the season so far. Several Hammers fans confidently backed goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski as their player of the season at this stage and it’s easy to see why. Just like one Hammers fan tweeted below, the experienced shot-stopper hasn’t really put a foot wrong all season. The 33-year-old has put in tremendous performance after tremendous performance, to effectively earn Manuel Pellegrini’s team valuable points in the Premier League. While several will rave about big expensive signings made in the summer by other clubs in the league, when asked who was the best bit of business, Fabianski could make case that he was the best signing from any Premier League in the summer. It’s very hard to find a reliable, consistent, top-quality goalkeeper for a reasonable price, but that exactly what the Hammers did when they got him from Swansea City.
