Tottenham Hotspur are likely to go back in for Norwich City’s teenage starlet Max Aarons in the summer, according to the the Daily Mirror.

The newspaper claims that Mauricio Pochettino’s side are preparing to step up their interest in the 19-year-old right-back, having failed with a January approach for the Canaries talisman.

Norwich rebuffed Spurs’ attempts at a move for the youngster, with the Premier League side planning to loan Aarons back to the promotion-chasers.

Tottenham have received glowing scouting reports on the player and are thought to be in pole position to land him in the summer ahead of Arsenal and Chelsea.

Good move for Tottenham?

Absolutely. Aarons is one of the finest young talents in English football and has enjoyed a phenomenal campaign with Daniel Farke’s side. He has been a key part of the Norwich team that have shocked everyone by storming to the top of the Championship. He is thought to fit with Spurs’ policy of signing young, English talent, while he plays in a position of need for Tottenham. Neither Kieran Trippier nor Serge Aurier have put a stamp on the right back spot this season, with Trippier in particularly failing to reach the heights he scaled with England last summer. So with uncertainty abounding at right back, Tottenham could secure the future of the position with a summer move for Aarons.

Competition will probably be fierce for the youngster, with other Premier League giants obviously interested, but it appears that Spurs are leading the chase at present.
