Tottenham secured a hard-fought defeat against Newcastle last Saturday, and they will be hoping to do the same against Leicester this Sunday.

Son Heung-Min scored the only goal of the game in what was an evenly-matched fixture, but the three points now mean that they sit in third place in the Premier League behind Liverpool and Manchester City.

In order to maintain their good form, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino must make two changes to the side that won at Wembley on Saturday.

In goal, Hugo Lloris must start as normal.

It is in the defence where the first change must be made, with right-back Kieran Trippier – who is on £40,000-a-week [Spotrac] – to be axed in favour of Serge Aurier. He did not make enough of the opportunities that were presented to him on Saturday, so he must be replaced.

The rest of the back four were excellent against the Magpies, with Jan Vertonghen putting in the most solid display out of everyone, which means his place in the starting XI should be a no-brainer.

Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko were both excellent on Saturday as well so they should definitely retain their spots, with Winks being especially good with his remarkable work rate.

Lucas Moura simply was not good enough last weekend and it seemed like the experiment of playing him up front back fired on Pochettino – this is why he must be dropped in favour of Fernando Llorente, who actually made an impact when he came on as a substitute in the second half.

If Pochettino makes the right calls regarding his starting XI on Sunday, then there is no doubt that his team would be able to blitz past the Foxes with ease.
