Former Tottenham Hotspur man Sol Campbell has heaped praise on Spurs and given his keys to their recent success.
Mauricio Pochettino has transformed the North London club’s fortunes in recent years and they are now a Champions League staple. Campbell has been extremely impressed with them.
“Tottenham have got consistency at the moment with the manager and settled players, and that’s key,” he told talkSPORT. “They’ve got a young team that works together and the main thing is it’s settled.
“No one is getting beyond their station and they’re just getting on and playing football. But obviously to get to the next level, it’s a big task.”

Tottenham have come on leaps and bounds in recent years and there’s no doubt that Pochettino is the main man responsible for that. He has revolutionised the club and moulded a top class squad filled with elite level players. Spurs did well under Harry Redknapp and enjoyed a fun Champions League run with the veteran manager, but Pochettino has taken them to another level. Like Campbell says, they have consistency now. The squad has been together for a long time and they know what to expect from the manager and vice versa. There are no crazy characters demanding first team football, just a bunch of professional players getting on with the task at hand. As Campbell admits, though, it’s going to be a monumental task to progress beyond what they have already achieved. It would take a lot of investment and it’s questionable as to whether Daniel Levy is prepared to do that or not.
