Tottenham are set to welcome back Harry Kane back to their training ground next week as manager Mauricio Pochettino issues a demand for his return from the Bahamas, according to the Mirror.

The newspaper claim on their website that the England hitman has been out in the warm weather as he recovers from an ankle injury picked up against Manchester United in January as he looks to make an early return to playing.

It is stated that Pochettino has demanded he heads back to north London to rejoin the squad at the training ground next week which will be a huge boost for the team as they look to push on in both the Premier League and Champions League.

Opinion

Just having Kane back on the training ground will be a massive confidence boost for the rest of the team, not to mention the player himself. With a March return pencilled in it already looks like he could be heading back into the fray earlier than first thought. Having him back playing is what every Tottenham fans wants to hear because without him there is a definite lack of cutting edge up top. Yes, Heung-min Son might be a pacey talent who has shown time and again that he is an adequate stopgap for the English star but he is just not a long-term replacement. It remains to be seen exactly how soon Kane will be back in action but judging from this it could well be sooner rather than later. The man really is a machine when it comes to his fitness and Pochettino will be hoping he can get back on the goal trail when he does finally step back onto the pitch.
