Some Manchester United fans took to social media during West Ham’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool in order to urge their club to sign Declan Rice. The 20-year-old Hammers played a starring role in his club’s latest performance, just like he has all season, and this prompted a section of Man United fans to reveal their desire to have him brought to Old Trafford. Rice, who is naturally a centre-back, has been playing the holding role in midfield all season for Manuel Pellegrini’s side and has been flourishing beyond belief. The 20-year-old has looked mature beyond his years in the majority of his 26 outings this season and as one Man United fan stated below, he looked unplayable against Jurgen Klopp’s side. For this reason it’s no surprise that Man United supporters want one of the Hammers’ stars in the form of Rice, but they’re no doubt set to for disappointment. The defensive-minded player recently signed a new long-term contract with the London club that doesn’t run out until 2024, so the only way Man United are getting him, are if they pay silly money.
