COMMENTARY
Everton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin was welcomed in from the wilderness by Marco Silva in order to face Cardiff City on Tuesday and it seems he got lots of Toffees fans actually admitting they were impressed by him. The 29-year-old had only made seven appearances in the league ahead of featuring in the 3-0 win over the Bluebirds, and it’s fair to say he has never been the most popular figure at Goodison Park. Schneiderlin has never been able to constantly deliver the goods while wearing a Toffees shirt and there was probably a groan of frustrated that he was in the starting line-up for a change. However just like one Everton fan pointed out below, Schneiderlin put in a class display by all accounts to help his side rack up a win. While the experienced midfielder’s form may drop in his next outing, he does deserve another chance based on his latest performance as he did seem willing to work hard for the team. One fan below may be suspicious that Schneiderlin was attempting to shine in order to get a decent move in the summer, but as long as the Toffees benefit from him, then Silva should keep playing him.

Schneiderlin playing well tonight and Gana carrying the ball more. Midfield looking more able to retain possession. #whitesox

Great pass from Schneiderlin for that goal, already made more effective passes than Idrissa Gueye this season.
