Manuel Pellegrini must axe West Ham attacker Robert Snodgrass after he appeared to run out of steam in the 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace.

The Scottish winger who always puts in a shift for the Hammers when featuring has generally impressed throughout the current campaign, but you fear the bubble may has burst in regards to his form based on his latest outing.

In fact Snodgrass despite his talents hasn’t been able to add to either his two goals or three assists in the league since the Hammers’ 2-0 victory over Fulham in December.

Snodgrass had one notable opportunity in the first-half to score against Palace, which he didn’t take, and that was about it when it came to highlights for him on Saturday.

The Hammers workhorse got worse as the game went on as he just seem too tired to make a difference despite him continuing to solider on.

Snodgrass has been used sparingly in recent weeks in the Premier League though the clash with Palace was his second 90 minutes in a row in the league.

It seems that while the 31-year-old winger always tries his best after featuring 29 times across all competitions, the best way to utilise him is to use him sparingly as he doesn’t seem to be firing on all cylinders currently.

Pellegrini has a few options to play in place of Snodgrass, especially if Sami Nasri returns from injury shortly, so he shouldn’t hesitant to axe the Scottish winger from his first-team.

West Ham are next in action on Friday when they host Fulham at the London Stadium and when you consider that their opponents are struggling to perform and are begin to look very likely to be relegated, Pellegrini should be confident his side can get all three points without Snodgrass’ great efforts.
