OPINION
Newcastle United’s on loan winger Jacob Murphy opened his account for West Bromwich Albion in their 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night, scrambling the ball home to draw the hosts level at the Hawthorns. There is the occasional Newcastle fan making the ‘found his level’ comment, but by and large they seem to be pretty happy for the youngster. It’s clear that he was lacking confidence at St James’ Park and so if he can get his feet underneath him back in the Championship then it should pay dividends in the future for the Magpies. There is talent in him, he just needs to learn how to unleash it once again. Scoring on Tuesday is a good start for the 23-year-old. He’s someone that the club invested in and will want to go on and do well for them, so everyone on Tyneside will be hoping that he enjoys a productive loan spell with Darren Moore’s side. He’s off to a good start now after this goal, and hopefully he can kick on from here.
