COMMENTARY
Some West Ham fans were left unimpressed by Robert Snodgrass’ display in the 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace on Saturday and one was so disappointed by him, they boldly claimed he held the team back. While it was disappointing the Hammers didn’t get all three points on Saturday, for a section of fans to question the Scotland international’s ability in the way that some did, was harsh to say the least. It may be true that Snodgrass missed a golden opportunity to score in the first-half of the draw with Palace, but aside from that he was a useful player to have on the pitch. The 31-year-old right-sided worked so hard for Manuel Pellegrini’s side and regularly got himself in positions to help the team not only attack but defend. Snodgrass has excelled this season when given opportunities to feature and it’s bizarre to think that some Hammers supporters don’t even rate him.
