OPINION
Manchester City left back Oleksandr Zinchenko produced a somewhat surprisingly stellar performance in his team’s Carabao Cup final win over Chelsea. The Ukraine international isn’t a first choice player for Pep Guardiola but he consistently does well when he comes into the team. That was certainly the case on Sunday. He didn’t have to do a whole lot to defensively, particularly in the first half, because of the way that Chelsea set up, but he seemed fairly assured throughout the contest. The only blot on his copy book was a clear foul on N’Golo Kante which could have been perceived to have been worth a red card. However, he escaped from that situation and went on to perform admirably against the Blues’ cadre of talented attackers. He has made real progress again this season and is now looked upon by Guardiola as one of his most reliable and trusted squad players.

I'm convinced Zinchenko has a future to be a great fullback. His inital acceleration and crosses are good.
