OPINION
With two simple words, ‘Job. Done’ and a celebratory image, Kyle Walker gave his personal Twitter verdict on Manchester City’s 2-0 triumph over Everton. Unlike his mocking meme a week earlier, the England and City right-back did not feel compelled to immediately delete this one. Nevertheless, plenty of Liverpool fans were unimpressed by the gloating of Walker, especially as his performance against Everton was hardly error-free. They insisted the job is only done when the league title has been wrapped up, and claimed such tweets will only serve to strengthen the resolve of their own club. It is hard to argue against their claim that Walker is the weakest link in Pep Guardiola’s side. Were it not for his extreme pace, the former Tottenham man would probably be a bench warmer at best. Great athlete? Yes. Outstanding footballer? Nowhere near.

What job’s that then – have you just won the league? Or is it City’s ambition to beat Everton 2-0 this year?
