OPINION
There was so much to admire about Liverpool in an exhilarating performance that will temporarily quell the ridiculous recent talk about title nerves and bottle jobs. Jurgen Klopp’s side were rampant against a completely overwhelmed Bournemouth, and the superbly-taken goals from Sadio Mane, Georginio Wijnaldum and Mohamed Salah were the least they deserved in a 3-0 triumph that could easily have been doubled, or even tripled. The attacking play was phenomenal at times, not least when Roberto Firmino displayed incredible awareness and technique to set up Salah for the third. But many Liverpool fans were even more excited by the midfield combination of Wijnaldum, Naby Keita and Fabinho. The former Monaco man was outstanding in the midfield anchorman role, winning the ball constantly, covering every blade of grass and displaying a wide passing range, including one brilliant reverse pass. He is getting better and better, and has surely nailed down his starting place.
