Aaron Ramsey signed a pre-contract agreement with Juventus today that will make him the all-time highest paid British player, according to David Ornstein.
The BBC Sport correspondent reported the staggering salary the Arsenal midfielder, 28, will earn when he makes the move to Turin in the summer.
Ornstein explained on his personal Twitter account that Ramsey has penned a four-year deal with the Serie A champions after passing a two-part medical late in January to bring to an end his 11-year spell at Arsenal.

OPINION
Wow. These are simply staggering numbers that make it abundantly clear why Ramsey finds a move to Juventus so attractive. Of course, there is the sporting challenge, and the opportunity to join an elite European club capable of genuinely challenging for the Champions League unlike his current employers. But the blow of quitting Emirates Stadium after a decade has been softened considerably by the transfer to Italy that will be completed at the end of the season. Even the well-heeled Premier League elite would have been unwilling to compete with this figures for a player who has not even been a regular starter at the sixth-placed Premier League side this season. Ramsey is a fine player, no doubt about that, but he is nowhere near the class of his fellow Wales international Gareth Bale, never mind the outstanding players in England this season, most of whom play for Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham. Well played to Ramsey’s agent, though.
