COMMENTARY

The one thing that Marcelo Bielsa will have been telling his Leeds United side in the minutes leading up to their clash against Norwich City will have been to keep it tight at the back. Pontus Jansson obviously was not listening. He made a daft challenge a couple of minutes in to hand the visitors to Elland Road a free kick in a prime position and Mario Vrancic took full advantage, his whipped effort taking a slight deflection off Adam Forshaw on the way into the back of the net. There is no doubting where the blame lies in the eyes of the Leeds faithful and their Swedish star has been slaughtered on Twitter for his first half performance. He is one of the most experienced heads among the squad but is known to be a little rash at times and this was one of those occasions. With a lack of quality centre back options at the best of times the first choice starters in the heart of defence have to be up to scratch week in, week out. This was a real disappointment from Jansson and he has to improve if they are to keep their title hopes in their own hands.
