Tim Krul will reportedly avoid retrospective action despite appearing to headbutt Patrick Bamford after Norwich won 3-1 against Leeds United at Elland Road on Saturday night.

Many Leeds fans will surely be furious to know that the 30-year-old will not be punished after Pink Un journalist Michael Bailey gave an update on the Canaries goalkeeper via his personal Twitter account on Monday afternoon.

It is the latest in a long line of injustices that Leeds fans have had to suffer this season, especially when the EFL has been so inconsistent in the way that they have handed out punishments.

Not only is the drawn-out spygate incident still being looked at by the EFL, but Leeds have also seen Pontus Jansson banned this season for criticising the referee after a game, when there have been similar incidents that have been overlooked.

Aston Villa’s Tyrone Mings has also avoided punishment this week despite appearing to stamp on the head of Reading forward Nelson Oliveira in what seems to be a week where the EFL have just let everything go over their heads.

Krul’s behaviour after the full-time whistle on Saturday should have seen him at least be charged with violent conduct.

It does not matter that it was a rather weak headbutt that was aimed at Bamford, it was still a headbutt and it’s laughable that the Norwich goalkeeper will avoid punishment.
