While Tottenham might be leading the stakes when it comes to the Premier League table, London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea have been much busier trying to improve their squads in the transfer market.

The Spurs faithful would no doubt love to have the spending power of those battling alongside them in the capital but unfortunately for them Daniel Levy does not have access to such funds, especially with the new stadium being built.

In the past the Lilywhites have had a strong focus on young players who can make an immediate impact but also grow into world beaters, which is why Davinson Sanchez remains their record signing despite being a centre back.

As well as incomings, exits are also an area which fans need to keep an eye on, with the likes of Toby Alderweireld still seemingly set for the exit despite his contract’s extension clause being triggered earlier this season, and replacing him is an absolute must.

Step forward Olympique Marseille’s Boubacar Kamara, a 19-year-old talent who is already catching eyes in London.

Calcio Mercato claim that Chelsea and Arsenal have been keeping a close eye on the French under-20 centre back and that Euro giants Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan are also keen – but a move to Spurs should be the most tempting.

He would be filling the boots of Alderweireld for the long-term – which translates to regular game time – and unlike the Blues or the Gunners, Tottenham are a team on the up rather than playing catch up.

Young, exciting and with a season of first team football under his belt, Kamara can fill the boots of Alderweireld for the foreseeable future and have the fans in north London forgetting about the Belgian in no time.

It just requires Spurs to blow their rivals out the water – easier said than done.
