Will Huffer has returned to Leeds United after his loan spell at Barnet ended, it has been confirmed.

Barnet announced via their official Twitter account on Tuesday night that the 20-year-old goalkeeper has returned to Elland Road after just under a month at The Hive.

Huffer made three appearances in all competitions during his spell with the National League club, conceding five goals, although three of them were in a 3-3 draw with Brentford in the FA Cup.

OPINION

Huffer impressed at Barnet, especially on his final shift for the non-league club as he helped seal a 0-0 draw against Sutton United just moments before it was announced he was returning to Leeds. It is definitely an odd decision for him to only have joined the Bees on such a short-term deal, as it would have been far better for him to spend the rest of the season. If his loan deal was until the summer then Huffer would definitely have earned a lot more experience and developed a lot more than he would playing for the Whites’ Under-23s. Bailey Peacock-Farrell played for Carlos Corberan’s Under-23s on Monday and Kamil Miazek is also on the books at Elland Road, so it’s not even a given that Huffer will play for the development side between now and the end of the campaign. Barnet seem to be missing out here too because the England youth international impressed for them in what little time he had at The Hive.
