COMMENTARY
West Brom kept within touching distance with their rivals for an automatic promotion spot in their 1-0 victory over Stoke City but as is always the case in the Championship, the games come thick and fast. Up next for Darren Moore and his men were Nottingham Forest but the fans were gutted when the line up came out, as revealed on the club’s official Twitter account. The lack of Ahmed Hegazi, who helped at both ends of the pitch against the Potters, setting up Dwight Gayle’s goal while keeping a clean sheet, saw them devastated on Twitter and understandably so. The Egyptian has been outstanding when playing for the Baggies this season and has continued to be part of a dominating partnership with Craig Dawson. It is instead Toisin Adarabioyo who takes his place but it seems the Hawthorns faithful are not too convinced he will fill his teammates’ shoes. Attacking threat has not been an issue for Moore’s men this campaign but their defensive frailties have – and it looked as though Hegazi and Dawson had sorted them out. No wonder the fans are fearful.
