Marcelo Bielsa isn’t just making waves on the pitch. There are plenty of brilliant stories about Bielsa’s off-the-pitch antics as well, like the fact that he gets Leeds first-team players to pick up litter to remind them of how lucky they are to do what they do. Now, a fan has shared a brilliant anecdote about the Leeds manager who came to his barber shop on Friday – and Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Phil Hay retweeted it to his many followers. The Leeds fan said that Bielsa brought an old picture with him from a magazine of himself and used that to tell the barber how he wanted his hair cut. The fan joked that Bielsa “even does research on his hair.” If true, it’s yet another example of a man who has earned (and is earning) a lot of money, yet seems to live a very humble lifestyle. During the recent FA Cup break he said he was going to visit parts of Yorkshire he hadn’t visited yet. And he was also spotted at the Under-23s game, as usual. The more we learn about Bielsa, the more we like him, and you can understand why Leeds fans love the man so much. Can he cement himself in the Leeds history books and take them back to the Premier League? It’s looking good at the moment, but six points against Bolton and QPR in the next two games is a must.
