Pablo Hernandez has been arguably the best player for Leeds this season, along with Kalvin Phillips, and he was at it again at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon.
The 33-year-old keeps rolling back the years in the gruelling Championship and he had the Leeds fans purring with delight on Twitter.
Stats showed that he made more key passes in the first-half than any other player, with 43 touches and 32 passes. And he put in an absolutely beautiful cross for Patrick Bamford that one fan said was “hauntingly accurate”.
Another said it was a “privilege” to watch him play football but one pointed out that without him Leeds have “zero creativity”. That’s a worry as they prepare to chase out promotion for the rest of the season. With a long-term injury to Kemar Roofe, his steadying presence is even more important for Leeds.
Leeds got the all-important three points today in a 2-1 win against struggling Bolton but it wasn’t exactly convincing.
