OPINION

Many Leeds fans were wondering whether Izzy Brown actually existed but he finally made his Leeds debut tonight in a shock 1-0 defeat to QPR. Brown didn’t come on until the final 10 minutes and by then Leeds were chasing the game. Fans were hoping that Brown would be the difference but he put in a bizarre first few minutes, seeming completely off the pace and almost getting sent off. First he put in a dreadful late tackle that saw him booked before he’d really touched the ball. Then he jumped into a QPR player clumsily and was possibly lucky not to get sent off. It was not a dream debut and many Leeds fans flocked onto Twitter to talk about him, with a fair few saying it was now obvious why manager Marcelo Bielsa hasn’t played him yet. To be fair to Brown he’s been out for a year and this was his first taste of Championship football this season. But if he wants to play for Leeds again he needs to prove he can do a lot better then this. It was a bizarre and frankly awful display.
