Robbie Gotts put in another brilliant performance for the Leeds Under-23s on Friday night and spent his Saturday morning signing a new contract – and Leeds fans are absolutely delighted.
Gotts is still to make his senior bow but he has made the bench in the Championship five times this season and he can’t be far off a knock on the first-team door.
The 19-year-old winger has been impressing in Carlos Corberan’s side all season and he’s yet another player that Leeds fans are fully expecting to go and do big things.
Many sides are happy if they get one or two players coming through from the academy.
In the past year Leeds have had Bailey Peacock Farrell, Tom Pearce, Jamie Shackleton and Jack Clarke, to name but a few, and they’ve got to have the most holistic set-up in the top-two leagues at the moment. Gotts is the latest to impress.
The Premier League might not know what’s hit it next season if Marcelo Bielsa can finish the job this season in the Championship.
