OPINION
Ryan Christie has had a sensational breakthrough season with Celtic, turning his career in green and white hoops around with a series of fine displays before the festive period. However since returning from the winter break, Christie has not been in the most amazing form and it was fair to say that in the 1-0 win over Kilmarnock at Rugby Park on Sunday, he was at his worst. Many Celtic fans have torn the ex-Aberdeen loanee to shreds for his lacklustre performance. Christie was hardly the only Hoops player to have a shocker on the plastic pitch in Ayrshire, nothing seemed to click for any of Brendan Rodgers’ attacking players. Christie was perhaps one of the worst out there though as his attacking play offered next to nothing for his team-mates, with his set-plays also being a major negative on the Hoops’ overall display. Christie should still keep his spot in the starting line-up but it is getting to the point where you might think he needs a rest. Rodgers could do with Tom Rogic back though before that can happen.
