OPINION
Even though Rangers’ clash against Kilmarnock is not on television, it seems that some Celtic fans have come up with the conclusion that Steven Gerrard’s side are “cheating” in the Scottish Cup clash at Ibrox. Kilmarnock’s official Twitter account tweeted that Eamonn Brophy was tripped by Joe Worrall inside the penalty area at Ibrox, but referee Alan Muir failed to award a spot-kick despite appeals. That is all the information that these Celtic fans appear to be going off, yet they have come to the conclusion that Muir was wrong and this whole conspiracy about referees in Scottish football has started off again. Is all the outrage about refereeing decisions simply based on hear say? Because that seems to be the case with this incident. These Hoops fans probably haven’t even seen the incident and believe the biased view of a club’s Twitter account, and fellow Bhoys supporters, about what happened.

Killie denied a stonewall penalty in the first minute. Stonewall. Well, you either support foriegn refs or you do not. Clarke is going to have something to talk about at full time anyway. Unbelievable. Except it's very believable.

Both bluenoses Neil McCann and Gordon Smith said it was a penalty – so it must have been a stonewaller.

This is why we need foreign refs in this country. The cheating is diabolical . Time for drastic change.
