OPINION
It is never good news when a player as influential as Tom Rogic suffers and injury – and it’s even worse news when that injury sidelines him for six weeks. Brendan Rodgers confirmed on Friday that the midfielder has had to visit a specialist in London after suffering a knee injury that will see him miss several big games over the coming month and a half. Understandably, some Celtic fans are furious with the news because Rogic is likely to have suffered the setback while on international duty with Australia at the Asian Cup last month. Rogic was made unavailable to play against Rangers at the end of December because he had to travel to the UAE to meet up with the squad and now this. It is no surprise that the Hoops fans are fuming with Australia, but it is part and parcel of international football and having Australian players in the squad means that it’s likely to happen every few years. Celtic should be fine without Rogic though. He has played a lot this season but Ryan Christie has been sensational.
?? BR on Tom Rogic: "Unfortunately, he will be out for up to six weeks. He's seen a knee specialist in London but we'll be without him for a while."
