Leeds are facing yet another potential injury after Leeds goalkeeper Will Huffer re-joined the club after a month’s loan at Barnet.

The news was announced by Barnet last night and confirmed by the player who said he “loved every minute of it”.

However, it was another tweet from Barnet that has got Leeds fans panicking.

Sporting Life journalist Tom Carnduff posted the exchange between Barnet and a fan who was asking why the loan hadn’t been extended.

Barnet’s official Twitter page replied, “An injury to another keeper at Leeds means we cannot extend.”

The tweet was later deleted.

OPINION

Leeds fans are hoping that this isn’t an injury to either Kiko Casilla or Bailey Peacock-Farrell. However, there is a speculation that it’s the worst case scenario, with one fan saying “It’s got to be Kiko who is injured. If it was BPF another academy keeper would have been moved up to the bench.” There’s been no confirmation from anyone on the Leeds side, or from local journalists like Phil Hay. However, it would seem highly unlikely that Barnet got such a specific piece of information wrong. Leeds won’t be happy that it was leaked like that though. And, if it is Casilla, it will be the latest in an incredible line of injuries for Leeds this season, with striker Kemar Roofe the latest to hit the sidelines for an extended period with ligament damage. It’s no exaggeration to say that without injuries, Leeds would have one foot in the Premier League by now.
