OPINION
No matter what you think about Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s performance in Arsenal’s 3-0 win over BATE Borisov on Thursday, it wasn’t anywhere near bad enough to suggest that terminating his contract would be a good idea. Mkhitaryan, 30, was nowhere near as bad as what some Arsenal fans have suggested after the Armenia international breezed through the Europa League round of 32 game at the Emirates. Mkhitaryan is not an amazing player by any means, no one is saying that, but he is a lot better than some supporters are suggesting. The former Manchester United playmaker has not played a lot of football lately, it is important to remember that. Due to a metatarsal fracture, the Armenian has played just two times since mid-December, and it is amazing that he has been able to comeback to full fitness so soon. Give him a bit more time to get back up to full speed and Mkhitaryan will show why he’s an Arsenal player.
