OPINION
It has been coming for several weeks, but it was still a bit of a shock to see Nottingham Forest confirm that manager Aitor Karanka has left the club. In a statement posted on their official website, the Championship club said that the Spaniard had asked to be released from his contract, a request which chiefs then accepted. Simon Ireland is set to take over first-team duties while the club find a new boss to replace Karanka. As mentioned, this has been coming for a while now, but many Nottingham Forest fans on Twitter are obviously not happy about it. Karanka’s pedigree is clear despite his intermittent success in England, and there is an overwhelming feeling that Forest have just driven out one of their best managers in years. Whatever the circumstances behind the scenes, it is a disappointment that things could not be worked out, and you feel as though this is something the club will come to regret in the coming months.

Absolutely disgusted with this, hasn't the club and us as fans had enough upheaval I've the past few years.
