Lyon defeated St-Etienne 2-1 on Sunday and loads of Celtics fans couldn’t help but comment on the forward who had scored the late winner for his side. This was because it was a familiar face to say the least as it was ex-Hoop Moussa Dembele who scored a cracking, as one fan described below, header to see Lyon record a memorable victory. After witnessing the 22-year-old forward score in his latest display, several Celtic fans openly confessed they missed him while others simply raved about him. One Hoops fan even took to speaking French to make it clear to any Lyon fans reading their response that the extraordinary Dembele learned everything he knew at Celtic. It’s easy to understand why a large number of Hoops fans still miss Dembele, with his latest performance triggering them to admit to it publicly, as he was goal machine during his time with the club. Dembele scored 51 goals in 94 games before leaving the club in the summer and it’s fair to say Brendan Rodgers’ side hasn’t found a prolific source of goals to truly cover the loss of the Frenchman as of yet.
