COMMENTARY
While lots of Aston Villa fans were thrilled that the club revealed via their official Twitter account on Tuesday that another promising talent had signed a long-term contract in the form of midfielder Jacob Ramsey, some opted to urge Dean Smith to take a chance on him. One directly mentioned the Villans boss while another just shared they were holding out hope to see the 17-year-old attacking midfielder near the first-team set-up as soon as possible. Others may have also showed their desire to see Ramsey play but that was more out of desperation due to being fed up with the club’s current left-back options. The teen sensation has been in promising form this season in the Villans’ youth set-up as he scored four goals in nine outings the U-18s Premier League league. While some are eager to see the likes of Ramsey given a chance with the first-team, it’s little too soon for him to make a step-up and you feel it’s just a reflection of supporters being unhappy with the current senior side’s form.
