OPINION
Sheffield United ace John Fleck has been quietly going about his business in the Championship and League One over the past few years and he is a massively under-rated midfielder who could potentially shine in the Premier League. West Ham are reportedly in talks to sign the 27-year-old with Sky Sports claiming via their live transfer blog on Monday [02:56pm] that a £4million deal is on the cards. Fleck, at that price, would be an absolute bargain and with West Ham’s midfield options not looking great, he could be a very solid addition to Manuel Pellegrini’s side. Fleck has played a major role in helping Sheffield United win promotion from League One and he is now one of the key players behind a serious bid for promotion to the Premier League. Some West Ham fans don’t seem to know much about the Scottish midfielder but if they watched more Championship football, they would know that he could be a great signing. Forget about the bad blood between the Blades and the Hammers that still seems to be going on since 2007. Pellegrini could be on to something here.
