COMMENTARY
You can be sure that there were plenty of heartbroken West Brom fans when Harvey Barnes was recalled by Leicester City but it seems as though some of that disappointment has been lost after the midfield maestro impressed on his first start for the Foxes. It was his effort which helped wrestle his club back from 2-0 down to level the scores at 2-0 against Wolves and the fact it was one of the Baggies midlands rivals had the Hawthorns faithful celebrating on Twitter. It does seem to end any hopes of Barnes returning to the Championship this season – a hefty blow for West Brom, who had given him his chance to shine in the second tier – but the player will not mind so long as he plays regularly in the top flight. It seems as though Barnes will continue to hold a special place in the West Brom fans’ hearts and you know they would welcome a return to the club at some point in the future – especially if he keeps scoring against the likes of Wolves.
This is Futbol has gathered a selection of the Baggies supporters’ tweets:
Harvey Barnes does not deserve this defensive shambles behind him. It was fine when it was Albion's defensive shambles. But not this one
