Darren Moore is expected to make nine changes to his West Brom starting line-up ahead of the FA Cup third round clash against Wigan at The Hawthorns on Saturday afternoon.

Jack Fitzwater is likely to earn his senior debut for the Baggies after it was confirmed on Thursday that the centre-back’s loan deal with Walsall has been torn up just so that he can play in this fixture.

Kyle Bartley and Hal Robson-Kanu are the only two players who started in the defeat to Blackburn on New Year’s Day who could stay in the side, with Moore probably treating this FA Cup game as one where he can rest key players.

Boaz Myhill is expected to replace Sam Johnstone in goals and he could play behind a back-four of Tyrone Mears, Bartley, Fitzwater and Connor Towsend.

Tosin Adarabiyo, Craig Dawson and Keiran Gibbs have played a lot of football over the festive period so are likely to be rested.

Chris Brunt and Sam Field could be Moore’s central midfield pairing with Gareth Barry and James Morrison dropping out and Jake Livermore suspended.

Oliver Burke might get a rare start on the right-wing after impressing in the Carabao Cup at the start of the season while Bakary Sako could start on the left and Wes Hoolahan in the central attacking midfield role.

Jay Rodriguez and Dwight Gayle are not likely to be risked for this game, so Moore could start Robson-Kanu up front as the lone striker.
