Tottenham are keeping tabs on QPR’s 20-year-old sensation Eberechi Eze, according to the Daily Mail.

In their live transfer blog (Friday, 2.22pm), they claim that QPR have slapped a £10million price tag on the attacking midfielder who has been wowing in the Championship this season.

He’s impressed massively in the Championship this season, scoring four and registering four assists in 26 games and that’s led to enquiries from Bournemouth, Brighton and Crystal Palace, while Tottenham are also watching the player.

A good move for Tottenham?

Absolutely. We highlighted Eze as a player Tottenham should watch back in November, when Marc Bircham, the former QPR assistant and youth team manager, compared Eze with a “teenage Raheem Sterling”. Tottenham struck gold with Dele Alli when they signed him from the MK Dons and we believe they could do the same again with Eze. He’s impressed massively after being handed the no.10 shirt at QPR and we think he could go all the way to the top under the right pair of hands – and they belong to Mauricio Pochettino.

Likely to happen?

It should. £10million is a solid investment for a player who could be worth many multiples of that if he breaks through as a Tottenham regular. If not, Spurs would easily be able to recoup their money. They don’t have a lot to spend in the January window by all accounts, but this is a signing that would please Daniel Levy, Pochettino and the Tottenham fans. Pochettino must try and make it happen.
